What I Won’t Do For You: The Art of Realistic Expectations

Here’s what I won’t do for you. I won’t make your rich overnight. I won’t string you along, lie to you, or waste your time. I won’t turn over the large list of influential contacts in the legal and business worlds. I won’t ask you to spam people.What I will do is ask you questions. I will listen to you. I will point out things about your work that make you worth knowing, things I’d like to tell my friends about if they were looking for a business or firm like yours. I will show you how to make others notice those things without you having to tell them. I will introduce you to people who you can add value to whether they hire you or not. I will give you a platform to attract business.What I have to offer is all about attraction not promotion. Others will want to do business with you because through the work that we do together they will better see why people already do business with you. There will be useful things you create in these efforts that you give away for free. There will be things that fail to make any impact. There will be moments of true brilliance (on your part, not mine). By working together we will build a better business using new methods and generating new directions.
