Sales: Convert Leads Into Customers

The Way Things Used to Be
Making money, I mean REAL MONEY, used to something reserved to an exclusive club of individuals.
You had to have a lot of it to begin with, a monopoly on a product, and a whole lot of friends with money to get your sales going.
The way it used to be kept out guys like you and me, ambitious people with great idea, but no “inside scoop.”
Welcome to the New Age of Sales
You see a few years ago, this little thing called the Internet came along and changed everything. Now you don’t need a factory, distribution channel, and capital to get started making real money.
People like you and me are selling online all the time. You can also start making money online by doing three things: (1) positioning your products in a way that seems unique, (2) creating great customer experiences, and (3) leveraging your network to generate leads.
Social Sales is all about leveraging those three factors and getting people to click buy.
How to Create Sales Without Feeling Sleezy
“Wait a minute,” you say. “Money is great, but for some reason, selling myself feels icky.”
This is a lie.
It is your Resistance, and getting over the idea that making money for what you do or sell online is your first KEY STEP towards making your social media sales work.
Selling yourself is only dirty or slimy when you are dishonest, seeking to take advantage of trust, or not committed to delivering the results you promise.
You may not consider yourself as “in sales,” because you have been conditioned to think that sales are something only slick guys, prostitutes, and used car salesmen do.
Truth is you sell yourself everyday. You have to (it’s part of sociability). When someone asks, “what do you do?” you are selling yourself socially.
Those who can speak with passion about themselves, and use that passion to spark a conversation with another human being where they can listen with equal interest are called “likable.”
Why should it be any different when you are selling a product that has an actual benefit to someone else? Remember: whenever you set out to sell something online, you must be very conscious of the benefits that product provides to your customer.
Sell the benefit.
When looked at in this way, everything you do to sell online is actually a step towards helping someone solve a problem. Your job is to be of maximum service to people with the particular problem your product solves, and help them to understand and feel comfortable about taking steps to deal with their problem via your product.
